Greg Wilson
Author, Humanitarian, Motivational Speaker, & Community Activist
Greg Wilson is a 36 year old Author, Humanitarian, Motivational Speaker and Community Activist, who has dedicated his life to addressing the issues that disproportionately impact the lives of Black LGBTQ persons.
Born in Los Angeles, CA, Greg has made great strides in developing a reputation as A Bridge in the Community… Assisting people to where they are striving to go in life through Life Coaching, Counseling, Personal/Professional Development, and Leadership Development.
Greg’s life hadn’t been a smooth ride, which is what makes Greg relatable to the many people he provides services to. Greg went from being a client to serving clients. Once Homeless, Suicidal, Depressed and Diagnosed with HIV (13 years ago), Greg learned to take his journey and life experiences to help pave the way for others that may be experiencing similar struggles or challenges by sharing and guiding them through the very things that he has overcome.
Greg currently functions as a Senior Manager for In The Meantime Men’s Group, Inc, a 21-year-old 501C3 Community Service Organization dedicated to addressing the holistic wellness of Black gay, same-gender loving and bisexual men.
Greg’ s a certified HIV Tester and peer navigator for more than 13 years, having tested over 5,000 men and women in Los Angeles County. He has linked numerous men and women to HIV treatment as well as other needed services to include housing, mental health services, PrEP programs, and substance abuse treatment.
Greg is a certified research assistant who has worked on 3 major scientific studies that focus on the lives and health of Black Gay Men.
Wilson has been the recipient of numerous community service awards for his efforts in community mobilization and his effort working on behalf of transitional age youth.
Mr. Wilson is a published author of the book ‘Metamorphosis of a Heart’. This book, that was released in 2015, takes people on a journey through his personal life experiences, and how to overcome some of the very life challenges that many may not know how to navigate through. This book speaks to triumph, overcoming and finding Power in Our Stories.
