Understanding and Managing Energy: Biofields
Biofields are considered to be energy fields that flow, surround and penetrate the whole human body. While there are many energy fields, Biofields are included amongst the many different fields that exist. When considering aspects of self, the etheric or aura field has connections to every vibrating unit of life and consists of a link to the physical and emotional body. According to bewell.com, “there is increasingly convincing evidence that each human being is comprised of an energetic system that is highly integrated with the physical body, emotional systems and spiritual being of the individual.” As a natural part of existence, the emotional body screens feelings and emotions. According to heartmath.org, “…Emotions give meaning, color and texture to our lives – taking us from elation to sorrow, excitement to resentment, satisfaction to need”. Whether the emotion is positive or negative, the feeling creates energy movement or a vibration in the fields. Viewing these energies can be seen in a rainbow of colors. According to the same website,
Bright colors of cloudlike energy are associated with positive feelings about yourself. Darker, dirtier shades are associated with negative feelings about yourself. All colors can be found in this level. These clouds of energy flow along the structured lines of the first field level.
According to lieske.com, “The dark, stagnant clouds act like stagnation in other parts of your body. They clog up the system and disrupt healthy functioning”. It’s noted that stagnated energy also interferes with our physical health in varying degrees. As this force or vibration is everywhere, we have to consider how the energy that surrounds us – affects us emotionally and physically.
Quoted from an interview with Barbara Ann Brennan and cited at spiritofmaat.com,
Just by looking at someone’s auric field you can see which chakras are in trauma. A chakra to me looks like a funnel or vortex. In the Eastern tradition they are described as petals or wheels of light, but in Western terminology, it’s a vortex, six to eight inches in diameter, containing smaller vortexes. All these vortexes spin, pulling in life energy from the energy all around us. Each vortex relates to a particular organ. A trauma tears open the chakras, causing some of the vortexes to fail at pulling sufficient life energy into the organ. Those organs deprived of energy will not function well.
Stagnation, leaks, blocks and the lack of sufficient life energy being pulled is an interruption and disruptions felt physically and emotionally. However, allowing energetic feelings to flow helps us to keep the etheric or auric field balanced.
